i tried what you recommended. Battlefield 2 Won't Launch If you're getting a black screen, it's probably a punk-buster or GPU error. Again, BF2 related files can be found at: Code: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES Check all these locations, remove all BF2 related settings there and reinstall PR. I followed the complete removal directions that are Part 1 of the link I posted.

I know I had troubles with some of the Medal of Honor WWII games giving incompatability warnings and the one that has the PhysX driver hang up that stall the installation. None of these attempts changed anything about the behavior. Falcon 4.0 Allied Force gets better framerates in XP anyway, so I suppose it's for the best. When I try to run it the screen goes black for a couple of seconds then goes straight back to desktop.
